The Opportunity - Senior Talent Sourcer

You will join our newly formed talent sourcing team. Together with the Talent Sourcing Manager you will shape and build out the function of talent sourcing at FreshBooks. You will dive deep into research to source, engage, and attract top talent for hard to fill requisition-based positions (no pipeline sourcing). You will become the trusted partner for everything talent research and sourcing for recruiters, business leaders, and hiring managers. You will draw on your deep knowledge of sourcing to mentor and support junior talent sourcers. 

 

What you'll do as a Senior Talent Sourcer

  • Research & Strategize: Research talent markets, companies and industries to strategically inform your searches.
  • Advocate for Diversity: Identify diversity gaps, apply diversity sourcing best practices, engage and attract talent from underrepresented groups.
  • Build & Write: Source and build strong talent funnels for multiple open requisitions that you hold parallel. Reach out to talent in your very own and creative way. 
  • Mentor: Support the team’s junior sourcers and recruiters on their growth journey.
  • Analyze: Generate and use data for regular and special reports and dashboards. Monitor and track performance data to understand success and challenges. 
  • Partner & Advise: Collaborate closely with your recruiting partners and hiring managers. Employ your expertise to guide your partners, drive improvements, solve problems and make strong recommendations. 
  • Manage Projects: Support and own project work. Incorporate experimentation in your talent attraction practice.

 

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • You have multiple years of experience working as a talent sourcer and you understand that sourcing is a highly valued craft and not an entry level TA position.
  • You are fluent using recruiting tools like applicant tracking systems, talent intelligence tools, hiring platforms, recruiting automation and data tools.
  • You have supported sourcers, recruiters and/or hiring managers to level up their sourcing skills.
  • You understand sourcing metrics and have a track record of meeting (or exceeding) your goals.
  • You use data to inform and report on your searches.
  • You are focussed and thrive when working with a high level of independence.

 

Additional Skills or Experiences Which Are Beneficial, but not Essential

  • You have experience in diversity sourcing.
  • You have managed projects.
