OVERVIEW

The Quality Assurance Technician will drive the culture of food safety and quality assurance at FreshRealm by ensuring GMPs and SOPs are followed at all times, will oversee and drive quality assurance of a fresh food meal manufacturing operation, and will also be accountable for auditing documents, procedures, and conducting facility audits against standards.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Own the safety of the team and food, ensuring a safe working environment 100% of the time 
• Ensure proper training of all employees regarding GMPs, Safety, and Quality procedures and programs
• Audit, report, and drive company policies and procedures 
• Complete pre-operational and operational checklists and documentation 
• Perform ATP swab tests as part of pre-operational checklists 
• Conduct inspections of the facility against company standards such as allergen controls, labeling, and cleanliness  
• Maintain, audit, and train staff on facility GMP’s and related SOPs 
• Communicate and evaluate quality findings to the management team on a daily basis
• Assist in performing requirements such as GMP, Glass, Pest Control, and other audits
• Conduct direct observation tasks of CCP activities 
• Conduct truck and food product receiving inspections against product specifications for compliance 
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Skills and Requirements

• Ability to perform with minimal supervision
• Execute given tasks according to priority
• Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, work well with a team, and function well within the organization
• Comfortable around a computer and excel

Experience / Education

• General high school degree/GED or equivalent preferred
• Some college or technical college are preferred
• Experience in warehousing or food manufacturing environment
• Leadership or Lab experience preferred
• Must be 18 or older to apply as required for machinery and/or equipment utilization
