Web Coordinator

The Web Coordinator will be responsible for managing and improving Fresno Pacific's websites. Web Coordinator must understand web development fundamentals (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and the basic concepts of how users interact with websites across multiple devices. The Web Coordinator will be tasked with monitoring web servers and performing content & platform updates. This position works closely with the web team, internal clients, and the university's marketing team.

Duties:

• Collaborates with marketing teams and web team during the creative process
• Turns design and user interface mockups into functional websites
• Ensures HTML/CSS is cross-browser and standards compliant and meets accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.0 AA)
• Integrates websites with existing applications on campus or third-party/open-source platforms
• Maintains content across all marketing website platforms
• Monitors web server status and performs necessary software updates to server software and website platforms
• Ability to deliver complex projects on time
• Follows the university brand design guidelines
• Skillful problem-solving and debugging skills Perform edits to web content, functionality and UX as needs arise or requests are received from Flexible and responsive to change; able to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Proficiency in CSS, HTML and Javascript
• Knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite applications, Figma and/or equivalent design software
• Knowledge building responsive designed websites and using Git for version control
• Other job duties as assigned

Required

• One year of experience in web development
• Valid Driver’s License

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• Two or more years of experience in web development experience, in a fast-paced marketing-driven environment
• Experience in developing on Drupal CMS, Using CSS preprocessors and JS based task runners (PostCSS, SASS, Gulp/Grunt, etc), and proficiency in OSX and Unix based systems
• Experience with designing templates for email campaigns  

Environmental Conditions:

• Indoors in normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations and temperature changes at least ninety percent (90%) of the time.
• Frequent computer use at workstation, up to eight hours per day.
• Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
• Proficient at multitasking. 
• Public contact position requiring business-like apparel.

Physical Demands:

• Indoor work environment.
• Perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodation: stand, sit, kneel, stoop, reach, lift, grasp, finger, see (near and far) for reading and data analysis on a computer screen, hear and talk for ordinary conversation and telephone calls.
• Perform analytical and cognitive thinking and decision making.  
• Approximately 90% of this position’s duties require use of a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Attendance and punctuality.
• Travel alone between campuses.
• Based on the main campus of Fresno Pacific University.
