Responsibilities include: Preparation and cooking meals for residents and employees in an institutional setting is required. This employee will aide in planning menus, taking advantage of foods in season and local availability. It may also involve serving meals and directing activities of one or more workers who assist in preparation and serving meals.
Salary: $16.00-$18.40 per hour
Must be 18 years of age or older

Required:
- Some food preparation experience is required; a skills-assessment test to validate experience may be required
- Ability to provide good customer service to our residents and employees
- Able to speak and understand English; communicate effectively verbally and in writing with residents, families and staff
- Basic knowledge and ability to perform basic cooking and food proportional skills
- Ability to operate and clean various types of food service equipment used in the kitchen
- Ability to work with various units of weights and measures and determine an object’s weight in standard units
- Ability to sequence food preparation based on deadline for food delivery and ability to estimate time in seconds, minutes, and hours, within the schedule
- Possess knowledge and understanding of State, County, health and sanitation regulations as they apply to a food service operation
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred:
- A High School Diploma or a GED equivalency is desired
