SUMMARY OF POSITION
North Chandler Place is seeking a detail-oriented, knowledgeable and kind Human Resources Generalist. We strive to provide care to our residents that exceeds industry standards and we are looking for an HR Generalist that wants to join that mission!
RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary purpose of the Human Resources Generalist is to support the Home Office HR initiatives and strategic objectives and manage the communities daily local HR activities.
Administers employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, life insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits.
Serves as a member of Leadership Team and participates in Leadership meetings to develop organizational strategies and obtain input on critical HR and personnel issues.
Conducts benefits training, employee open enrollment meetings and provides guidance and counsel to management and employees on existing benefits.
Administers pre-employment process for all potential new employees including background checks, fingerprints, licensure verification, drug/alcohol screening, etc.
Tracks employee COVID-19 vaccination and exemption status.
Launches new employee onboarding and conducts new employee orientation.
Tracks Relias completion rates and reports completion data to management team in morning stand-up meetings.
Recruits for open positions within the community. Manages the ATS, conducts pre-screens and reference checks .
Ensures all new hire and benefits paperwork is complete, routed to Payroll, benefit vendors, etc. Removes employees from benefit portal upon termination.
Manages community FMLA and ADA in accordance with applicable state, federal and relevant laws.
Manages the community workers compensation claims and OSHA 300 and 300A logs.
Processes and verify employee timesheets in Novatime on a timely basis.
Maintains individual payroll record for each employee's earnings in accordance with current regulations governing such records.
Maintains payroll deduction authorization records for each employee.
Maintains W2 and W4 tax records for each employee.
Verifies work schedules against timecards, when necessary.
Assists employees in obtaining information concerning their payroll check, deductions, overtime, etc. as necessary.
Maintains confidentiality of ALL payroll information.
Coordinates final paychecks for separating employees.
GENERALREQUIREMENTS
Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Proven experience with increasing HR responsibilities in the senior care industry may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
5 years of progressive HR experience required.
3 years of experience with benefits administration required.
