PC Deployment and Support Technician

We are a national IT service company servicing California based clients, and we are looking for experienced IT technicians to join our team. Our field technicians are responsible for maintaining and servicing a wide range of devices including computer systems, point of sale (POS) systems, automated teller machines (ATM's), kiosks and network systems. Our technicians work mostly individually and at times will work with other IT Technicians to install hardware, troubleshoot devices issues, updating devices and/or components, responding to questions from clients and other IT related tasks in addressing issues and concerns.

For this position we are looking for a technician having extensive knowledge and experience in device deployments, including but not limited to Windows based operating systems, VoIP phone systems, cloud storage, mobile devices and applications.

The ideal candidate is willing to travel to remote locations not local to Ames, IA. Travel expenses are covered (mileage, hotel, meals, flights, etc.)

This is an independent contractor position with possible employment in the future. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in their field, can work under minimal supervision, and is able to adhere to set schedule. Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with a team to deploy over 900 laptops and 425 mobile devices per location
• Desktop support for Windows based operating system, mobile device management infrastructure, Video conferencing systems, and IT to IT support clients workforce enablement products/devices.
• Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals. Ability to setup, configure and add all hardware.
• Experience with asset management (install, move, add and change)
• Follow up on open tickets requiring additional attention created by the deployment team

Requirements and Qualification

• At least 1-2 years of experience in your field
• Essential tools and supplies are required
• Able to prioritize and manage your schedule
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Strong time-management, communication, and organizational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $24.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• Software deployment: 1 year (Required)
• Technical support: 1 year (Required)
• Asset management: 1 year (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (Required)
