VP OF SALES AND MARKETING PROFILE:

The VP of Sales and Marketing will be a player-coach building a high-performing sales team, personally managing key accounts, and working closely with the CEO and COO. This individual will bring extensive sales experience of services related to the construction, upgrade, and maintenance services to mission-critical facilities, including but not limited to project management, QA/QC, commissioning, testing, inspection, validation and/or other technical services. The right candidate must have a proven track record of establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with C-level executives of key target clients and channel partners, and they should possess a background and contacts that translate into increased customer expansion in the near term.
The VP of Sales and Marketing will actively participate in strategic planning to develop reasonable and thorough revenue projections for annual budgets and multi-year projections. This role engages directly in key account capture while both promoting and nurturing opportunities with potential customers of all scales indirectly through leadership of the sales team.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead from the front, personally introducing FST to stakeholders at large new clients in FST’s end -markets and their construction contractors.
● Build-out and execute our go to market strategy.
● Establish and exceed board-level revenue and customer milestones.
● Drive and close deals while also hiring and leading your team to expand market penetration.
● Develop and implement robust sales management processes – pipeline, account planning, and proposals.
● Collaborate with our executive team to ideate on new markets, strategies, and partnership initiatives.
● Provide inspirational, energetic leadership by example.
● Create outreach for future customers and coordinate implementation across sales engagements.
● Nurture 12-18 month sales cycle with potential customers from start through success.
● Monitor strategies across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition to engagement to success.
● Mentor sales team members on best practices to help maximize their potential.
● Drive a “lean startup” style environment of constant experimentation and learning.
Skills & Experience
● Large personal rolodex of potential customers, preferably Executive level stakeholders at large companies at FST’s main end-markets.
● Extensive sales leadership experience related to construction, upgrade, and maintenance services, including but not limited to project management, QA/QC, commissioning, testing, inspection, validation and/or other technical services.
● Comfortable in a growth-stage environment. Able and willing to ‘get their hands dirty’.
