What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Technician position at FTS?
Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a CAD Technician for an established Land Surveying client in Baton Rouge, LA. An ideal candidate will be proficient in drafting civil design and land surveying projects as well as have great attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with surveyors and engineers.
Essential Duties:
· Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to produce drawings, maps, and plans based on survey data and engineering designs
· Primary work involved in drafting civil design and land surveying projects for residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal clients
· Drafting work to include completing topographic survey base maps, civil plan and profile sheets, DOTD right-of-way maps, property survey drawings, and other general engineering drafting duties.
Requirements/Skills:
· Associate degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field
· Experience required in use of AutoCAD Civil 3D software in drafting products utilizing point code and linework feature coding.
· Proficient knowledge of MS Office products, specifically Excel.
· Must be self-motivated
· Must be able to multi-task
