What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drawing Checker - Piping Spools position at FTS?
Zachary, LA: FTS is seeking an experienced Spool Checker who will review pipe spool drawings against customer isometric and/or orthographic drawings.
Essential Duties:
· Review job packages prior to checking spool drawings
· Check and review spool drawings for corrections
· Check materials on spool drawings to ensure compliance with customer specifications
· Create RFI’s for project management
· Comply with all Company Core Safety Rules, policies and procedures.
· Report any unsafe conditions wherever they exist to the safety department, their supervisor, or the management of Trade Construction immediately.
· Report all incidents/accidents/injuries involving the health and wellbeing of any employee to management immediately.
Requirements/Skills:
· Proficient in reading and interpreting isometric & orthographic drawings
· Professional ability to work well with staff and client personnel
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Excellent communication skills
· Proven organizational skills
· 3-5 years piping experience is preferred
