WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
The Sr. Technician - R&D Automotive OEM (Driveline, Shock & E-Mobility) will support the OEM Fluids Sr. Scientist through making and testing formulations. Furthermore, you will be responsible for establishing new test methods and have ownership over several existing test methods. You will also build and maintain relationships within the R&D Department, as well as Production, Product Management, Quality Control, and others.
In your role, you will have a significant impact on the success of Automotive OEM projects, and the business segment as a whole.
WHAT WE EXPECT
- B.S. in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). B.S. in Chemistry preferred.
- At least one year of previous laboratory experience
- Excellent record keeping and documenting skills, e.g., able to keep a well-organized lab notebook.
- Strong problem solving, interpersonal, teamwork, lab work, and communication skills.
- Precision and high attention to detail.
- Able to conduct hands-on laboratory experiments and tests in an organized and safe manner.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Must be proficient with computers and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Familiarity with raw material databases and/or LIMS preferred.
- Stays up to date on current trends and technologies related to Fuchs‘ business.
- Experience in product development and product modifications is preferred.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001/ IATF 16949 environment strongly preferred.
