Your responsibilities:
- Daily cash reconciliations and preparation of monthly bank reconciliation
- Approval of weekly check runs
- Initiation and/or approval of ACH and wire payments
- Posting of bi-weekly payroll and monthly payroll accruals
- Approval of expense vouchers in Concur; run weekly extract of expenses
- Assist in month-end close activities (general ledger, journals, accruals)
- Balance sheet and subsidiary ledger account reconciliations
- Record monthly corporate Mastercard transactions
- Maintain fixed asset software
- Assist with monthly financial statement preparation
- Detailed monthly variance expense analysis
- Assist with quarterly sustainability reporting
- Assist in budget and forecast preparation
- File monthly and quarterly state sales tax returns
- File Annual Reports
- File quarterly/annual US Census Reports
- Accounts Payable backup as needed
- Monitor & review accounting and related systems for continuous improvement
- Resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
- Preparation of ad hoc reports, as required
Qualifications we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university
- 2 years accounting experience
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
- SAP or other ERP system experience
- Must have flexible schedule to accommodate monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
