The Role

The Senior Analytical QC Chemist develops/improves test methods for raw materials/finished goods in support of all FFEM (FUJIFILM Electronic Materials) product lines.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Provide leadership in raw material analytical chemistry by anticipating the requirements of next generation products used in semiconductor industry; translate these requirements into raw materials specifications and develop appropriate analytical techniques and test methods.
• Continuous improvement of core competency of analytical function aimed at developing cutting edge test methods, which will offer unique advantage to our core and advanced products.
• Develop appropriate methods/tests designed to ensure that the raw materials that go into our products, the intermediates produced/purchased, and the formulated photoresists meet defined specifications.
• Troubleshoot customer/production related problems.
• Support regulatory function related to LVEs, etc.
• Provide training to other team members on those functions in which he/she has been certified. The training provides for a more flexible and versatile team.
• Project management and training not limited to: Gage R&R studies, test method development, procedure writing, and process flows. This work allows for process improvements, cost savings and cycle time reductions.
• Maintain state-of-the art lab.
• General housekeeping practices including the proper handling of process waste. This allows for a clean and safe environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• A master’s degree in chemistry.
• 3-5 years laboratory experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and make informed decisions.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques is required.
• Knowledge of metals analysis is a plus.
• Data analysis skill set (algebra, SPC) is required.
• Multitasking and flexibility/versatility is required.
• Advanced computer skills required (Perform transactions, SAP, LIMS, JMP, MS Office, and cPro).
• This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
