Position will assist with and support the Compliance Manager in Continuous Improvement to the company’s quality programs, both internal and external, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory. Daily quality functions include maintenance and execution of gage calibration nonconformance processing, incoming inspection support, final product inspection, internal audits, process audits and other special assignments. Must pass a drug screen.
Specific Responsibility
Gage Calibration: Update and maintain gage calibration system, maintaining compliant status of gages and perform gage calibration at set intervals or scheduling external calibration.
Customer Satisfaction: Assist in solving customer quality problems, working with cross-functional team to determine root cause, working directly with customers and/or through customer service on complaints, nonconformances and completion of customer corrective action. Possible on-site visits to customers.
Internal/Supplier Audits: Assist in performing internal/supplier audits as needed with possible on-site visits to suppliers. Work with Purchasing on resolving supplier quality issues.
Nonconformances (NC): Process, review, record and make disposition on non-conforming product and material including trending and data analysis. Assist Purchasing with Material Returns.
Inspection: Responsible for supporting Inspection processes for purchased components and material as well as in-process and final product inspections to quality documents and supplier control procedures as well as trending and data analysis.
Quality/Process Audits – Inspections: Prepare audit reports by observing and auditing processes against documented procedures. Observe/verify operators’ quality inspections and processing including following procedures and material handling and storage. Work with operators on inspection technique and continuous improvement.
Training: Support with training activities, including training documentation, review and implementation.
Quality Documentation: Assist with document control, developing and modifying quality documents including procedures, work instructions and forms.
Quality Improvement: Assist leadership with maintaining an effective QMS and ISO Certification. Work with cross functional team on continuous improvements for Quality, Regulatory, Safety and Efficiency as well as maintain compliance.
Position Requirements
· Good computer skills including experience with Microsoft products
· Good blue print reading skills
· Inspection experience using standard gages and tools
· CMM experience or equivalent
· Good understanding of mechanical and electrical components
· High personal integrity
· High sense of order and organization
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work independently and efficiently, self-starter
· High school or GED
