Production artist

Our Food & Beverage client is seeking a Production Artist for a long term freelance basis. In this role you will be a key member of the packaging team, responsible for creating and adapting packaging designs across our diverse range of food products.

This role demands technical precision to ensure all packaging meets brand standards and production requirements.

Responsibilities :

• Ensure technical precision of designs and artwork, including correct usage of colors, fonts, and layouts.
• Adapt existing packaging designs for new product sizes, formats, or variants.
• Prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of packaging.
• Quality-check art files before sending out for compliance review and printing vendors.
• Retouch images as needed.
• Work closely with the Marketing team to conceptualize and design assets for all marketing channels and editorial content.
• Support the auditing, updating, and housekeeping of all templates and design assets.
• Project management duties including timelines, prioritization, and execution of creative tasks, managing multiple projects from conception to completion while meeting deadlines.
• Manage project timelines and utilize project management tools to provide real-time updates and maintain accurate project trackers.
• Maintain project status dashboards and reports with real-time communication to the team and contribute to status meetings.
• Support the creation of marketing collateral, design and update assets for various marketing channels, and create materials for promotional events.

Qualifications :

• 3-5 years’ experience in graphic design and print production.
• Degree in digital design, visual arts, or a related field highly preferred but not required.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
• Solid understanding of print production processes.
• Type layout skills and a precise eye for color.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, creative, and organizational skills demonstrated by the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
