A RD&E Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, documenting and verifying electrical systems for new Fulton products in a manner that is consistent with the Fulton values and operating philosophy.  A RD&E Electrical Engineer is responsible for working with other RD&E engineers and technicians to develop electrical systems that meet cost, performance and mechanical interface requirements. This is a hybrid work schedule, with a time split of in-office and remote time. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

1) Work cross-functionally with other RD&E staff

2) Specification- Identifying, evaluating and validating new hardware platforms for future electrical and controls systems

3) Document creation – Oversee and guide electrical drafting of drawings for Fulton Products as well as internal projects for RD&E and MFG

4) Troubleshooting - Provide expertise troubleshooting electrical and communication systems in the lab and at installed customer sites

5) Controls support – Guide and support R&D implementing new product control systems that utilize PLCs, PCBs and embedded controls. Become a key piece of Fulton leading the market with state of the art, cost effective controls.  

6) Technical knowledge - Have a thorough understating of Fulton heating systems, controls and their applications in addition to electrical systems

7) Code compliance - Ensures new products meet applicable codes and standards

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience): 

1)  Preferred: 4-year Electrical Engineering Degree

2)  Required: 2- year Electrical or Electronics Engineering Degree

3)  2 years electrical/controls design experience preferred

4)  Knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical Design Principles

5) Flexibility - Demonstrated ability to respond to and effectively address unforeseen events.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

1) Repetitive Motion –  Substantial movement/motion of the wrists, hands and fingers. 

2) Sitting –  The body is supported by buttocks and back and employee needs to remain seated for extended periods of time. 

3) Vision –  Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, inspection involving small defects or welds, use and operation of machines, use of measurement devices, etc.

4) Travel –  Work requires travel by car or airplane and includes extended periods of sitting.
