FUN.com is looking for someone just like you - A talented UX/UI Designer to craft unforgettable user experiences on our eCommerce sites.
A successful candidate will be able to translate high-level requirements into user flows and mockups for developers. They will be able to transform the requirements into intuitive, mobile-first, functional designs. They should also be able to draw on results from user testing, research, and previous AB tests to provide ideas for site improvements and as input on current and upcoming project requests.
This position is located at our North Mankato, Minnesota headquarters.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to our inhouse team of software and front-end developers
- Conceptualize original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user journeys, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas
- Present and defend designs and key deliverables to team members and executive level stakeholders
- Establish, promote, and follow design guidelines, best practices, and brand standards
- Analyze user feedback and activity and rapidly test and iterate designs to enhance the user experience
- Conduct usability testing, competitor analysis, and customer analysis
- Collaborate with other Website Experience team members, developers, copywriters, and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Degree, certificate, or equivalent experience in visual design, communications, or web design
- Demonstrable design skills with a strong portfolio
- Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Figma, or other visual design and wire-framing tool
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user/system functionality
- Up to date with the latest Web trends, techniques, and technologies
- A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns
- Passionate about resolving user pain points through great design
- Self-directed but also collaborative
- Superb communication, time-management, and process-management skills
- Keen problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Creativity, passion, and attention to detail
- Able to thoughtfully receive and integrate feedback and constructive criticism
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experience with using Google Analytics and Google Optimize
