Job Summary:
Five Star Parks & Attractions creates an exciting career for passionate individuals to share in bringing entertainment and fun to our guests! We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff, budgets, and operations of the local business unit. General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people, and enforcing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive while ensuring our profits are maximized.
Accountabilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations
- Ability to articulate all aspects of the business including financial, guest experience, all KPIs, sales, HR, training, and safety
- Design strategy and set goals for growth
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
- Supervise staff of anywhere from 40-80
- Administrative reporting
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. sales/ profit decline, employee conflicts, safety concerns, etc…)
Principles Duties and Responsibilities:
- Grow YoY Sales & EBITDA
- Partner with the FSP Safety Team to always maintain a safety-focused attitude
- Partner with the FSP HR/ Recruiting/ Training team to help maintain staffing levels and handle all staff-related matters.
- Provide mentoring to your team at all levels that creates an environment of coaching, development, and growth.
- Excellent communication with the leadership and team members daily with goals and standards set by day.
- Oversee training for all employees.
- Be familiar with all systems (e.g. Embed, Centeredge, BI tools, etc..)
- Handle all customer complaints, issues, or questions as needed
- Keep employees informed on culture, standards, and any updates such as sales specials or new job opportunities
- On-call for special projects or holidays

Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in business or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Must have at least five years of management experience
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work up to 50 hours per week, available to work every weekend
- Master’s degree in business administration preferred
- Able to stand for long periods
- Able to lift 39lbs unaided
- Valid driver’s license required
- Authorized to work in the United States
