Serves as the IT reference to provide assistance to company users of FTRV technology resources. This position coordinates basic user technical training and remediation activities, oversees the information resources repository of instructional materials for user applications, and makes recommendations for additions to learning aids and tools. The position conducts needs assessments, monitors and evaluates assistance being offered, and develops approaches to enhance company capabilities for user support. The ideal candidate must have a pleasant and outgoing personality, be a creative thinker and problem solver, work well under pressure, and have the flexibility to work weekends. Additionally, this person must be customer service oriented, have great communication skills, and always maintain a professional image. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
- Respond to queries either in person or over the phone
- Write training manuals
- Train computer users
- Maintain daily performance of computer systems
- Respond to email messages for customers seeking help
- Ask questions to determine the nature of the problem
- Walk employees through the problem-solving process
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
- Clean up computers
- Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems
- Install computer peripherals for users
- Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved
- Gain feedback from customers about computer usage
- Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur
- Complete daily tasks set forth by upper management
- Maintain employee privacy in regards to all access to knowledge
- Maintains records, logs, and reports of assistance
- Maintain a professional work relationship with all vendors for IT products.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers
- Other duties as assigned

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of Help Desk experience
- Technical aptitude
- Entrepreneurial mindset, achievement and goal-oriented
- Share the company's commitment to customer satisfaction
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
- Capable of efficient planning and organizing
- Pleasant and professional phone etiquette and excellent communication skills
- Availability to work nights and weekends as needed
- Computer software proficiency, such as - Google Mail, Sheets, Docs, Calendar Internet software and Sys2K (Dealer Management Software) Contact Management systems
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
