What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Buyer position at Fusion Sign and Design?

Purchasing Buyer Job Duties–

1. Insure all materials are acquired in a timely manner to meet production and installation requirements. Review lead times for Production with Production Manager and or Operations Manager.

2. Report any potential material delays that could affect due dates to Operations Manager immediately.

3. Insure weekly min max cycle counts are performed and order min max to requirements, spot check counts to insure accuracy.

4. Insure 25% material budget is met for all orders including min max materials. Any over budget orders must be approved by Director of Operation or Operations Manager.

5. Analyze competitive bids and proposals for best total cost. Send out Bid packages for major volume materials at least once per year.

6. Maintain Purchasing system, insure that prices are accurate, PO’s are maintained and blanket orders are sustained.

7. Run open PO report weekly and maintain.

8. Assist Install Planner as required for equipment rentals.

9. Constantly research material alternatives, keep current on market trends, new products and new potential suppliers.

10.Responsible for insuring that receiving in QB is done in a timely and accurate manner. Work with Receiver Shipper to insure material are properly received and put away in stores in a timely and orderly manner.

11.Approve invoices, insure invoices match PO’s and item receipts. Work together with Accounts Payable Dept. to insure any discrepancies are resolved in a timely and accurate manner.

12.Consistently work with all suppliers to improve supply chain, reduce cost, improve terms and maintain quality. Work with suppliers to move terms in Fusions favor.

13.Insure any credit card purchases are reconciled with PO’s and item receipt work closely with Accounting Dept. to reconcile all discrepancies.

14.Upkeep of all building services, vending, supplies, equipment, computer, office furniture and any other services required to sustain our assets and operations.

15.Assist processor with T&M Job Costing as required.

16.Work together with production, install and sales team to Project Manage larger more complex jobs from beginning to end with Bid, Sales, Operations Manager, Installation Supervisor and Client as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

  • Procurement: 2 years (Preferred)
