What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Assistant position at FusionSleep?
The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent critical thinking skills, a strong background in statistics, data science, or a related field, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. They should also have familiarity with database management and data visualization tools, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong Google Sheet and Excel skills are required. Additionally, knowledge of sleep medicine or other healthcare related fields is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Perform data collection and data presentation
- Create new and maintain existing data documentation
- Work closely with data engineers to develop new reports, dashboards and other tools in addition to diagnosing reporting concerns with existing tools/reports.
- Collaborate with other data team members on data-related tasks and projects as well as providing ongoing data support to FusionSleep teams.
- Communicate data findings and recommendations to the leadership team.
- Participate in key meetings to support projects or serve as point of contact for data related action items.
- Familiarity with statistical software and spreadsheets (e.g. Power BI, Google Sheets, MS Excel)
- Familiarity with database management and data visualization tools
- Collect data, present results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Acquire data across various data sources (such as current EHR system, Noxturnal, Nox Cloud) and maintain databases/data systems
- Filter and “clean” data as needed
- Gain practical experience in creating reports, and dashboards.
- Maintain all federal and state regulations regarding data safety and ethics
- Medical Records coverage as needed
- Bachelor's degree preferably in statistics, mathematics, data science, or a related field
- Ability to use or learn to use data analytics software, required
- At least 6 months of medical or similar experience, preferred
- Knowledge of sleep medicine and related fields (e.g. neurology, psychology) is preferred
