We are seeking someone who will work collaboratively with our team to ensure the organization is appropriately leveraging available resources to meet its financial needs. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience managing medical insurance billing and be attentive to detail, a quick learner and problem solver.
Position Status: Non-Exempt
Education / Experience:
Graduate of High School, Business or Vocational/Technical School. Requires 3-5 years of experience managing medical insurance billing with strong knowledge of third-party insurers, electronic medical billing, insurance line-item check posting, and have a strong understanding of medical billing modifiers, ICD10 diagnosis codes and procedure codes. Experience working in social service operations a plus.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepares and submits clean medical insurance claims to third party payers.
- Maintains relationship with clearinghouse, including appropriate follow-up with support issues.
- Coordinate the process of client eligibility through various third-party sources.
- Coordinate collection process
- Manage monthly statement process, to include reviewing statements before mailing and field any patient inquiries the Service Coordination staff to escalate.
- Work to ensure appropriate communication and collection of co-pays and coinsurance.
- Handles patient inquiries and answers questions from staff and insurance companies.
- Identifies and resolves billing problems.
- Denial and insurance follow-up management.
- Issues adjusted, corrected, and/or rebilled claims to third party payers.
- Posts adjustments, transfer of responsibility and refunds, as necessary.
- Assure coding is compliant and up to date.
- Reviews accounts and makes recommendations regarding non-collectible accounts.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
- Maintains up-to-date credentials for each licensed provider, including verification through primary and secondary sources, records, and relays credentialing information to relevant personal as needed.
- Keeps accurate records of provider licensure/ certification renewals. Assist Human Resources in vetting prospective providers as needed,
- Coordinate provider enrollments in all commercial, state, and federal insurance programs.
- Correspond with and provide updates to insurances.
- Provide data and support for Quality Control and Quality Assurance as needed.
- Provide accurate compliance reporting data, reporting as needed.
- Create or maintain policy and procedures for all areas of job responsibilities.
Additional Requirements:
- Able to work with minimum of supervision.
- Possess excellent time management and verbal/written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products Excel, Word, Access and Outlook
- Intermediate knowledge of computer systems – accounting software and other database applications such as Salesforce. Knowledge of Medicare and New Hampshire Medicaid reimbursement systems a plus.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds of various materials on an occasional basis
- Ability to remain standing or sitting for extended periods of time while performing job-related tasks
Schedule:
Regular office hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This is a part-time position working between 15-20 hours per week. Future In Sight is located at 25 Walker Street, Concord, NH.
