COMPANY - Fairway Construction, Inc, a subsidiary of JES Holdings, LLC
TITLE - Foreman (Multi-Family/Stick built)
LOCATION - Various locations/cities within the state of Texas
SCHEDULE - Onsite daily. Overnight travel may be involved depending on construction project sites.
Position Summary/Purpose:
A Construction Foreman is an individual who is in charge of a construction crew and the performance of the site activities; Responsible for the supervisory role and also recruitment of the site workers.
Essential Functions:
1. Coordinate and supervise on-site activities of workers and construction needs for all phases.
2. Inspect blueprints for determining various aspects of structure.
3. Choose materials and structural units, and examine them to make sure that they not only conform with provisions of building code, DCA, Earthcraft, and local ordinance but also minimize costs by preventing waste or abuse.
4. Supervise material orders and inventory tracking against variance.
5. Explaining floor plan and cabinet work to workers.
6. Field oversight to the order of activities that are concerned with fabrication, assembly, and erection of structures.
7. Allotting workers to their respective duties and making sure that they have the appropriate training and tools so that they can execute their jobs accurately.
8. Executing accident and incident reports.
9. Making sure regulatory needs and safety measures are maintained.
10. Maintain a clean jobsite.
11. Assessing the fastest and easiest way to complete a job without sacrificing quality of the work being done.
12. Assist the on- site superintendent with daily duties
13. Making sure that all work is up to FWC standards.
14. Must have ability to lift up to 60 pounds above the shoulder.
15. Perform general carpentry and punch work on building.
16. Manage and/or complete finish out.
17. Ability to understand building code and speak with building officials.
18. Ability to travel when needed.
19. Ability to operate various construction equipment.
20. Valid Driver’s License
21. Generate scopes of work
22. Generate bids
23. Track id work through job costs report and account for self generated bid
24. Coordinate and supervise activities of workers and construction needs for all phases.

30. Ensure regulatory needs and safety measures are maintained
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5 years of construction experience required
- Advanced knowledge in interpreting building blueprints, including estimating
- Experience working with 3rd party developers and state and local officials is preferred
- Good communication skills
- OSHA training and GSWCC 1 preferred
Minimum Education/Equivalent Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical demands and work environment:
- Ability to lift, bend and operate construction hand tools
- Ability to work long hours as needed.
