Assistant Construction Manager
FWS Group of Companies is a fully integrated design, engineering, construction, and maintenance services firm. We are advocates of the design-build approach to project development. Whether our clients are looking at greenfield construction or retrofitting an existing facility, we have the in-house expertise to take their project from vision to reality.
To add to this expertise, we are recruiting for an Assistant Construction Manager, to join our collaborative and team focused organization in Tennessee and surrounding areas.
As our Assistant Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing all onsite construction projects from implementation phase through to completion.
Position Overview:
- Execute and build projects on time, within budget and applying a level of quality that meets the clients expectations.
- Exploring the opportunity for maximizing profitability considering safety, quality and staying within guidelines of the FWS Code of conduct.
- Manages site and provides leadership to the onsite team consisting of Site Project Coordinators, Superintendents, site administration and site safety staff including QA/QC.
- Initiates conflict resolution with subcontractors, suppliers and employees when necessary.
- Liaises with client on all project specific matters.
Qualifications Needed:
- CET or equivalent combined level of education and progressive technical training with 8 years of trade/field experience, installation of equipment, piping and structural steel.
- Knowledge of all state safety regulations.
- Experience with managing a team and can exhibit strong leadership skills
- Strong level of interpersonal skills and have the ability to provide conflict resolution.
- Experience using MS Office, Autodesk and project management software.
