G&A Partners' client is currently seeking an Equipment Technician to join its team in Shakopee, MN.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, balers, conveyor systems and compactors
- Have a working knowledge of conveyor belts, bearings, motors and reducers
- Diagnose and perform light maintenance on heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers and forklifts
- Help keep accurate count of spare parts and tools
- Maintain and organize tool and spare part areas
- Order parts and maintain appropriate inventory levels of key parts
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA Standards
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and complete preventative maintenance as needed
- Communicate with leadership and operations to appropriately schedule any repairs and/or downtime
- Perform all work and maintenance in compliance with Company and OSHA Standards
Qualifications
- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Strong mechanical and technical skills with mechanic background
- Welding and/or fabrication skills
- Previous experience with heavy or light equipment
- Experience with power systems preferred
