Description
SUMMARY
The Quality Tech is responsible for managing customer rejections, investigating rejections and reporting findings. The Quality Tech will be tasked with supporting quality initiatives within the various depts. throughout the organization. This individual will also assisting the Quality Manager in assuring the quality principles and systems are implemented and maintained, coaching as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Emphasis on Production Part Approval Process
Record and investigate non-conformances
Communicate with customers as required
Perform inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products
Perform a variety audits
Assist the calibration program
Act as quality contact for plant personnel
Maintain non-conforming area
Special projects as assigned
Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associate degree (A. S.) from College or University; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to understand the applicable procedures documented in the training program
Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully to internal and external customers
Ability to read precision measurement equipment
Ability to manage your time effectively
Ability to effectively use problem solving and root cause analysis tools
Advanced MS Office Skills knowledge
