In this position, you will support our VP of Purchasing and collaborate with a team dedicated to expanding our brand and product offerings. Your responsibilities will primarily include evaluating wholesale price lists, assessing their profitability on Amazon, and then initiating Purchase Orders for the identified products. Although experience with Amazon, Amazon Seller Central, the Amazon Wholesale business model, or working with major consumer brands and distributors is a great advantage, it is not a prerequisite. Buyer Qualifications: 1-3 years relevant work experience Highly organized, possessing strong time management skills. Detail oriented. Working knowledge of Excel, Word Google Sheets required (big plus), Smart Suite, Net Suite (big plus) Ability to quickly learn project processes and their incorporation into the tools utilized. Works successfully in a team environment and independently Ability to quickly adapt to change in fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical and research skills. Buyer Responsibilities The Buyer is responsible for performing market trend and competitive research to help with product purchases. Desired positioning in our market space This person will also analyze data and make recommendations for portfolio and sales optimization. Perform market trend research including, reviewing competitor websites, and social media channels online along with using any available corporate research tools. Educate teams on trend research and findings so they can best implement through their channels. Analyze data for new and existing products. Compile data related to competitors’ products such as pricing, sales, and marketing or distribution methodology. Creating and maintaining relationships with new accounts and suppliers. Analyze offers and filter responses. Prepare offers. Construct “Want to Buy” request and filter responses. Initiate, establish and maintain customer relationships.
