Position Summary:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Assembler will be responsible for assembling together parts, according to drawings and procedures, with a variety of hand/power tools and fasteners.
Primary/Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of subassembly and final assembly operations of products that are of variable shapes and sizes
- Follow specified/established methods and procedures required to make designated assemblies involving the use of hand and power tools and test equipment
- Ensure job meets all requirements before leaving work center
- Meet or exceed established production levels
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of basic assembly tasks, as needed
- Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of one (1) year working experience in an assembler position
- Must be able to safely use small hand and power tools
- Previous experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
- Demonstrated working knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and bill of materials
- Demonstrated ability of use of small hand and power tools
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical College/University graduate in electrical or mechanical studies is an asset
- Demonstrated basic electrical knowledge
