What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Manager position at G&W Equipment, Inc.?
As a Parts Manager at G&W Equipment, you will be responsible for overseeing the parts department in our Raleigh, NC branch. This role has three direct reports and reports directly into the Branch Manager. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage parts department employees in the Raleigh, NC branch
- Coordinate with technicians and customers to schedule deliveries and pick up
- Communicate with technicians and customers on order statuses and help with parts lookup
- Manage inventory by forecasting and ordering parts new parts as needed to meet demand
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Maintain all parts related paperwork and invoicing along with actively communicating with other departments
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in parts administration in the material handling industry required
- Minimum of 1 year managing employees in a related setting
- Strong management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizations and customer service skills
- Ability to understand the technical side of lift trucks and/or aerial equipment
- Able to process paperwork associated with parts/service
- Able to effectively manage time
