General Manager/Operations Manager
Position Summary:
The Business Operations Manager, North, oversees the branch appearance, flow, rhythm, business level, operations, and expenses of the parts and service departments in the following shop locations: Kansas City, KS (101), St. Louis, MO (105), Topeka, KS (115), Wichita, KS (106), and Garden City, KS (110). It is the responsibility of the business manager to represent and promote successful Van Keppel business operations by growing and retaining customer confidence and maximum profits for the Company and the assigned stores. Incumbent must interact with and coordinate team activities and meetings with other departments or branch locations to best serve Customer needs.
This is an exempt (salary) position involving up to 80%-90% travel, whereby work is performed at various branches during travel, or at your home office located at Company Headquarters. Base pay is annualized at $75,000 plus earned monthly commissions up to $75,000 annualized. The normal shop hours range from: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, depending on branch location; however, must be flexible to work weekends and after regular hours as needed.
Job Qualification and Requirements:
- High School diploma, GED or trade school equivalent.
- Some college preferred or minimum five (5) years related supervisory experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with heavy equipment sales and/or service, or a related field with progressive responsibilities.
- Proficient computer technology skills using Microsoft Office Suite required plus experience using BI, Power BI, Vital Edge, e-Emphasys and Extend systems preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand, analyze, create and generate financial and business reports
