Host/Busser - Gabby's Rustic Eats

New restaurant location in the area, serving lunch and dinner, homestyle menu. We will be open from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. We are a well-established restauranteur. Full-time and part-time positions open. We offer AFLAC benefits (Dental, Vision, Disability, etc.), Direct Deposit, paid bi-weekly. Shift meals or discounts. Host Person/Busser is a tipped position with a base pay of $10.85 per hour. Cash tips will be received with each paycheck.

Duties and responsibilities

A Host-bus person’s duties primarily focus on ensuring the guests have a positive experience as soon as they enter the restaurant. Examples of Host duties and responsibilities include:

• Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
• Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
• Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
• Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
• Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff
• Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties
• Support servers in attending to the needs of customers and ensuring that dining areas are sanitary and attractive.
• Stack and clear away dishes to the kitchen to reduce the turnover time between parties and keep tables readily available for incoming customers.
• Bussers also wipe down menus, sweep underneath tables, refill salt and pepper shakers, fold napkins and polish silverware. Their role is to make it easier for servers to provide prompt service and make more sales by attending to as many tables as possible.
