Exciting new opportunity due to plant expansion and doubling size over the course of the year!

As Lean Practitioner you will be an individual contributor who will develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and eliminate waste. This role will be able to use Lean principles to solve critical problems and has a strong focus on continuous improvement, will play a key role as a specialist, coach, and leader when it comes to our lean and continuous improvement focus and culture.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for the training and coaching of teams on PDCA projects and lean concepts to optimize our processes
  • Will provide expertise in advance problem-solving and process optimization tools and techniques at various job sites.
  • Seek out best practices to share with work sites
  • Serve as a leader for Lean and continuous improvement culture and
  • Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with various levels within the business to educate in lean methodologies and how recommended changes can cut waste from operating procedures, influencing, and motivating both proactively and reactively
  • Ensure that process improvement initiatives are aligned to business requirements
  • Within area of responsibility analyze current work practices to identify
  • areas for improvement and educate as to how to improve business and manufacturing processes.
  • Devise and test solutions and roll out new ways of working

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering, Math, Science, or related
  • 3-5 years of experience in an operations role
  • Demonstrated understanding of World Class Manufacturing Methodologies
  • Certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma a plus
  • Superior problem-solving skills (both quantitative and qualitative)
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal and customer-oriented
