Team Overview:
The Marketing Services team supports multiple business units at GAF and a number of affiliated businesses, supporting multiple brands and product categories through innovative marketing solutions including branding, marketing campaign development, and tactical execution.
Summary:
The Senior Graphic Designer will report to the Associate Creative Director — GAF Residential and Retail. This candidate will focus on development of marketing graphic communications, collaborating with product marketers as well as Creative Services designers, print production, video producers, and management at all levels to drive creative development, brand consistency, and quality control across multiple product lines. Their work will impact every marketing channel and medium, from print to web to video. They’ll deploy the visual brand identity consistently, collaboratively champion great ideas, and carry concepts through to execution.
Essential Duties:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop sell sheets, brochures, distribution support materials, and so on, consistent with the brand Visual Identity
- Support development and/or acquisition of brand assets including infographics, iconography, and photography
- Elevate and standardize the brand Identity consistently across visual media
- Lead development of innovative design and tactical solutions to communicate the unique value proposition of the line of products and services
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Marketing-related field
- 5 years professional experience in advertising, marketing, publishing or related field that prioritizes high-end graphic design
- Strong results-driven design portfolio that showcases an elevated aesthetic, strong typography, and high production values
- Experience developing and deploying brand standards with consistency and creativity
- Excellent time-management skills
- Technical facility with a wide range of design tools, specifically the Adobe Suite staples Photoshop and Illustrator; 3D, video, web, and other skills are a bonus
- Excellent file management and print/PDF production skills
- Teamwork — good judgment, maturity, and enthusiasm
- Leadership — This candidate will take creative point on a wide variety of initiatives and will have the opportunity to garner input, develop consensus, and shepherd success in collaboration with creative peers and subject matter experts
