Team Overview
The Residential Consumer Support Representative will be a critical team member of our Residential Warranty Claims team based in our HQ office in Parsippany, NJ.
Summary
This exciting position is responsible for answering calls from consumers, residential contractors, and internal business partners in connection with technical instructions, warranty coverage, warranty claim initiation, and claim status. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Essential Duties Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Handle incoming calls from property owners, roofing contractors, and internal business partners.
- Assist customers by opening new warranty claims upon request.
- Ability to respond to inquiries regarding GAF’s published application instructions and other related technical documents.
- Ability to respond to inquiries regarding GAF’s warranties and claims process.
- Ability to respond to inquiries regarding the status of warranty claims.
- Update warranty claim files as needed.
- General office duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Associate’s degree preferred but not required.
- Inbound/Outbound phone experience.
- Data entry experience.

- Proficient in Google Business Suites or Microsoft Business Suite.
- Working knowledge of residential roofing products and installation.
- Advanced telephone skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Intermediate time management skills.
- Ability to consistently meet Key Performance Indicators to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
