Function Overview
GAF is seeking a SAP Senior Business Analyst with strong experience in SAP and Ariba implementations with a focus on the Source to Pay (S2P) process area. Key responsibilities of this role will include eliciting business needs, performing detailed analysis and documentation, modeling processes, evaluating impacts, prioritizing business requests, and partnering with the project teams to ensure the successful delivery of the SAP S4 HANA and Ariba platform for our organization.
Essential Duties
- Solves complex business problems utilizing business process redesign. Assess as-is processes and develop new processes and/or business flows
- Consults with data engineering team and functional owners in Supply Chain, Procurement and Accounts Payable departments and documents a gap analysis of capabilities, requirements and needs against technology
- Uses knowledge of SAP S4 HANA and Ariba capabilities to apply business process re-engineering methodologies for improved outcomes in managing suppliers and procurement processes (e.g. straight through processing, reduced tail spend, category management, etc.)
- Understands the business needs and requests, identifies solutions, gathers information, and translates business needs into documented Functional Specifications and other artifacts that are understandable to business and IT personnel alike
- Prepares and presents findings, recommendations, new operating models, and new workflows in consultation with the data engineering teams
- Develops new standard operating procedures documentation
- Works with the business users to create KPIs to measure process performance and improvements against established metrics
- Collaborates with project teams and business partners during project planning, incremental software delivery reviews, and supports User Acceptance Testing to ensure the software has been configured and implemented based on the specifications and acceptance criteria.
Under This Roof, We Require
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related majors.
- 10 years of IT experience; preferably in enterprise Business-to-Business durable goods, construction, or building materials manufacturing.
- 10 years’ experience in systems analysis, data analysis and design, including 3 years in the S2P process area.
- 3 years SAP experience in designing, configuring and using S4 HANA Material Management, Accounts Payable modules and Ariba. Knowledge of integrated process areas is a plus.
