What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Handler-Warehouse position at Gage Brothers Concrete?
Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:00AM to 3:30PM, 1/2 day Fridays
-Receives in freight deliveries by checking received merchandise against the purchase order.
-Operates forklift to load and unload freight trucks.
-Maintains material stock to no less than minimum level and not above maximum level.
-Accurately files signed and dated paperwork and documents.
-Sorts and places materials on racks or bins organized by size, type, style, color, and product code both inside the Warehouse and yarding outside.
-Reads lists to pull product creating material kits for production.
-Tracks tools and materials handed out into spreadsheets.
-Provides customer service to Team Members by selling replacement tools and PPE and checking out additional tools as needed.
-Marks materials with identifying information such as product name or code.
-Completes daily cycle counts and annual year-end inventory using a manual count process.
-Cleans Warehouse by sweeping, taking out trash, and wiping down counters on a daily basis.
-Greets Team Members and vendors in a friendly, professional manner.
Skills:
- Must have recent experience operating forklift
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment processes
- Proficiency in using Google Docs, Excel, or other similar programs
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, including proper documentation and labeling
- Ability to handle materials safely, following established guidelines for lifting, carrying, and stacking up to 50 pounds regularly
- Spanish language skills preferred, not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
