Product Designer

Gaia is a SVOD (subscription video-on-demand) platform focused on empowering an evolution in consciousness. Our catalog of over 8,000 original programs, licensed docs, and films covers a breadth of topics including yoga, spirituality, and the esoteric.

We’re seeking a talented Product Designer to craft intuitive, visually compelling experiences across web, mobile, and TV apps. You’ll play a key role in enhancing conversion, engagement, and usability, while also exploring new community and AI-powered innovations that elevate the Gaia experience. The ideal candidate combines strong visual design skills with user-centered thinking and can translate complex requirements into elegant, accessible solutions that resonate with our unique audience.

• User Experience Optimization: Audit and enhance Gaia’s apps to align with industry best practices and user behavior expectations, improving user flows, interaction patterns, and information architecture to drive engagement and conversion.
• Cross-Platform Design: Create cohesive and platform-optimized experiences across web, mobile (iOS, Android), and TV apps (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, etc.), ensuring consistent features, functionality, and visual design.
• Collaboration & Alignment: Partner with product managers, engineers, marketing team members, and other stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals and user needs.
• Visual Design Excellence: Develop and maintain Gaia’s visual design system, ensuring brand consistency, accessibility, and usability across all platforms.
• User Research & Testing: Conduct usability testing, competitive analysis, and user feedback sessions to iterate on designs and improve engagement and retention.
• Community & AI Innovation: Help design new community features and explore AI-powered experiences that shape the next phase of Gaia’s product evolution.
• Data-Driven Design & Competitive Analysis: Leverage analytics, user behavior insights, and industry research to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure Gaia remains competitive in the streaming and digital content space.

• 5 years of product design experience across at least two companies, preferably in growth-stage companies (at least $50M annual revenue)
• 3 years B2C company experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI work across multiple platforms
• Experience designing for at least two of the following: responsive web, native mobile apps (iOS/Android), and TV applications (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, etc.)
• Proficiency with Figma and other industry-standard design and prototyping tools
• Experience working with design systems and component-based design.
• Ability to effectively incorporate AI tools across the design process—from ideation to research, prototyping, and testing—to enhance productivity while maintaining design quality
• Experience analyzing user behavior data, conducting competitive analysis, and using insights to inform design decisions
• Understanding of user research methodologies, usability testing, and data-driven design
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, and accessibility best practices
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Iterate quickly, balancing creativity, business goals, and technical constraints
• Problem-solving mindset, balancing user needs with business goals
• Basic understanding of frontend development constraints and possibilities and ability to communicate effectively with technical team members
• U.S. citizenship or an existing work visa is required
• Non-smoker
• Must be available to work on our campus in Louisville, CO. This is not a remote role.

• Experience designing for media/entertainment or subscription-based products
• Knowledge of video streaming UX patterns and best practices
