The Executive Liability Division is seeking an Underwriter who will work on Non-profit Directors’ and Officers’ Liability Insurance. The position will be located in the Schaumburg, IL. The role of the Underwriter is to market, underwrite and produce profitable business. The Underwriter must have the ability to relate to people easily in order to develop effective customer partnerships. Responsibilities: Responsible for an assigned book of business in which account information is evaluated, underwritten and priced within authority guidelines. Has responsibility for risk selection/rejection, retention, growth and profitability within scope of authority and per divisional objectives. The position requires the ability to underwrite Non-profit management liability risks. You will be tasked to review applications, Form 990’s, audited financial statements, publicly available information and other supporting details. Based on the determination of risk levels, the underwriter is tasked with making a recommendation on pricing, terms and conditions. Maintains a high level of customer service. Communicates directly with brokers and Insureds. Promptly responds to emails, issues quotes, policies and endorsements. Proactively develops and maintains strong broker relationships. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Prior experience is not required. High level of organizational and time management skills, ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to leverage customer relationships, and for marketing products and services. Able to work autonomously. Must be open to future travel.
