We are seeking a dedicated Agency Service Representative to provide exceptional customer assistance and support through various communication channels including inbound/outbound calls, text messaging, and email. The primary responsibility of this role is to offer knowledgeable information based on state-specific guidelines, procedures, and insurance coverages.
What does an AGENCY SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE do?
- Provides quality customer service by assisting customers, establishing new customer relationships, and strengthening existing customer relationships.
- Listening to customers, addressing concerns, and educating customers on product offerings and insurance coverage policies.
- Processes transactions by incoming/ emails, text messages, faxes, and incoming and outgoing calls.
- Responds to customer inquiries, policy change requests and complies to business processes and requirements with accuracy.
- Meet and exceed goals consistently by producing consistent proven results.
- Flexibility to accommodate varying work hours and ability to change work schedule if/as needed.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Active Property and Casualty License preferred.
- To perform the essential functions of this job, acquisition and maintenance of Insurance License(s) may be required to comply with state and GAINSCO requirements. Generally, license(s) must be obtained within three months of starting the job and obtain ongoing continuing education credits as mandated.
- The ability to obtain a Property and Casualty license in 90 days of hire is required.
- Ongoing continuing education credits as mandated will be required and covered by the company.
- One or more years of experience in an inbound/outbound fast-paced call center environment.
- One or more years of experience in the auto insurance industry preferred.
- Customer service experience within an insurance agency is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Software like e-sign Live, MS windows suite, any CRM software, Adobe preferred
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient typing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with disciplined follow-up.
- Goal-oriented, motivated, and self-driven individual.
- Comfortable managing multiple software applications in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment including computer, telephone, calculator, printer, fax machine, and projector.
- Software proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), AS/400, Image Right, and Claims Manager.
- Some weekend and evening hours’ work is required. Operating hours vary from 8am -6:30pm Monday – Friday, 9am-3pm Saturdays
