HMS is looking for a Communication Manager for our Anchorage, Alaska position. The ideal candidate for this position must be self-motivated and be a talented and experienced communications manager. This is a manager position that will lead multiple teams, including, for example, Training, Publications, Provider Services Representatives, and the Provider and Member Call Centers.
The main duties for this position include creating informative communications content and assisting publications specialists and training specialists in developing communications and training products that will be used internally, with the provider and member communities, and with the client. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with brilliant presentation and organizational skills.

Your role in our mission

  • Assists team with the creation of informative and interesting newsletters and training materials.
  • Assists team with the development of effective communication strategies that build provider, member, and client awareness.
  • Works with internal departments to execute communication plans and track communications in the appropriate log.
  • Supervises projects to guarantee all content is publication-ready and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Leads multiple operations teams.
  • Responds to internal, external, and client communications following approved processes and procedures.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Medicaid, Medicare, or other healthcare experience
  • Call center experience
  • Publications experience

Work from Anchorage, AK office is preferred but remote work will be considered for highly qualified candidates and upon request

The pay range for this position is $105,800.00 - $132,300.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
