Assistant Rides Manager – Galveston, Texas

Operational Responsibilities:
  • Serve as department head for the Rides, Grounds and Dispatch departments.
  • Provide Guests with a safe, fun experience.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and audit hourly and full-time amusements staff.
  • Meet all quality goals for the rides and grounds departments in the areas of safety, guest service, efficiency, and appearance.
  • Develop and revise existing standard operating procedures, emergency action plans, and evacuation procedures.
  • Ensure that all labor laws and company policies are followed at all times.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Able to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Act as property Manager on Duty.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including extreme heat.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  
Administrative Duties:
  • Financial management including budget tracking, cost control, labor forecasting, and payroll.
  • Supervisor and Hourly schedules to be completed weekly.
  • Updating inspection checklists and other critical documents as needed.
  • Organizing and retaining required documentation including ride inspections, throughputs, incidents, and training.
  • Responsible for conducting training and seminars related to safety and guest service.
 
Requirements:
  • Previous experience managing a rides department in a full- time capacity.
  • Minimum of two years related experience.
  • Understanding of ASTM F770.


Education:
4-year College Degree or requisite experience
