What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Team Leader position at Game World?
About:
Game World is an independent chain of Buy / Sell / Trade Video Game stores. We have 2 locations in Bloomington, Indiana. We are opening a 3rd location in Indianapolis, and are looking for a full-time Assistant Team Leader. The Assistant Team Leader will aid the Team Leader in the successful day to day operations of the store.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma required. An Associate’s or accredited Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 3 years of experience working in a retail sales environment.
- 1 year of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Fun and enthusiastic personality.
- Video game knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to stand during scheduled shifts.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Must be able to work alone for an extended period of time.
- Ability to climb on ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service, welcome guests with a smile, answer guest questions knowledgeably, and effectively resolve any guest complaints.
- Help hit sales goals by recommending additional products when appropriate, asking guests if they would like a warranty, and upselling when another item better serves the guest’s needs.
- Use the Point of Sale to process guest transactions, give accurate change, thank the guest for shopping at Game World.
- Maintain high energy and positivity when answering the phone.
- Help the Team Leader in moving products from storage to the sale floor.
- Help the Team Leader with receiving inventory purchased from our accessory and new game suppliers.
- Assist the Team Leader with recruiting, training, and retaining team members.
- Ensure Team Members are following Game World standards.
- Help the Team Leader with limiting shrink. Help the Team Leader with performing a bi-annual inventory.
- Assist with bank deposits.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly store. Ensure the games are alphabetized, both in the game storage case and on the sale floor. Ensure all items on the cleaning list are performed on a weekly basis.
*Must be willing to drive to Bloomington for initial training.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
