SUMMARY
Working independently as well as under the guidance of the Director of Pricing & Promotions, the Pricing & Promotion, Manager will manage the pricing and promotion strategy execution. He or she will interact with his or her supervisor and senior leadership as needed. Most activities are completed without a supervisor’s advance approval. This role is generally characterized by moderately high levels of scope and complexity, and high levels of independent decision making.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
Work with pricing director to lead and implement pricing strategy and take actions to enhance profitability, ensuring accuracy in all pricing matters
Define new business procedures, evaluate resource requirements and stimulate implementation or maintenance of pricing system
Manage and supervise pricing analysts to support all pricing activities and analyses
Work closely with Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, and Operations to understand and plan regular, promotion and markdown price changes
Analyzes competitor pricing, market share and margins in order to gain a complete picture of effective pricing strategies
Uses statistical modeling methods to understand impact of various pricing strategies and their effect on revenue and margin
Work closely with marketing and merchandising teams to analyze return on investment (ROI) for existing promotions and optimize them to maximize sales or profitability depending on the strategy
Develop tools to manage and streamline analysis and other pricing processes
Presents findings to executives, marketing teams, and merchants through weekly or monthly meetings.
Ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies and techniques to drive sales and enhance marketing efforts.
Manage the collection, organization, interpretation, reporting, and ongoing maintenance of all co-op resources
Identify new, inventive marketing ideas that leverage product assortments, promotions, and special incentives to drive traffic and profitable sales
Leverage functional expertise and incorporate deep business knowledge (industry and GameStop) into daily activities
Actively advise, mentor, and develop other team members to build functional and strategic capability
Leverage influential leadership to prioritize project resources for other organizations (Marketing and Operations)
Initiate, direct, and perform merchandising-related analyses and insights
Identify, select, manage, and create accountability for a support team

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
5 or more years of related experience required in complex financial and consumer facing analysis, related business planning, and creating successful cross functional synergies
Accredited Bachelor’s degree with a related field such as; merchandising, marketing, business administration or related field; at least two years of additional related work experience may be considered in substitution
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES
Proficient business analysis skills, including the ability to gather, organize, and interpret large amounts of data and then make actionable, sustainable business recommendations based upon those analyses
Proficient understanding of co-op programs
Proficient knowledge of industry program policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
Proficient knowledge of merchandising and marketing strategies
