Job Overview:
GaN is seeking a Data Analyst to join the TMAS team at Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Support the full-spectrum developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) of US Air Force Special Operations, Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR), Tactical Mobility, and Close Air Support (CAS) C-130 aircraft
- Work within the guidelines established in Government approved test procedures, method of test (MOT), and go or no-go criteria
- Participate in test execution, data collection and reduction, data analysis, assessing systems effectiveness, and test reporting
- Support testing via recommendation of system performance requirements, development of test objectives, development of test methods and detailed test procedures, development of specification data requirements, identification of instrumentation and test support equipment requirements, development of data collection forms and logs, coordination with test support agencies and ranges, and other test and evaluation (T&E) planning tasks
- Review technical specifications and system design documents
- Attend test planning meetings, technical interchange meetings, and system design reviews
- Manage databases and analytic functions to ensure robust, secure, and responsive data control capability
- Develop, maintain, and manage data tools as an integral part of multiple C-130 test teams
- Design and incorporate scientific principles and methods in test planning and analysis
- Work with Test Engineers to create required data products for test reporting
- Write technical reports to address test results and findings
- Provide technical advice and assistance to military, government, and contractor test directors
- Travel to offsite locations as required and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements (minimum):
- Three (3) to ten (10) years of experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an applicable discipline
- Six (6) years of applicable technical experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree for a total nine (9) years or four (4) years’ of experience with an Associate’s Degree for a total of seven (7) years
- Be able to work as part of an integrated test team
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel
- Experience working with MATLAB
*For qualified candidates, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with US Air Force test and evaluation processes
- Computer programming skills and experience with statistical methods
- “R” statistical computing experience
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) or Scientific Test and Analysis Techniques (STAT)
Special Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
- Must be able to travel as necessary. (~25%)
