Clinician | Part Time

Maple ERP

20 hours a week

We are looking for Clinicians to work with the youth of different age groups with behavioral, mental health, and trauma issues, and their families, who are in a short-term residential treatment program for stabilization and assessment services. This position will also work collaboratively with the program’s Direct Care Staff and Client Services Manager to ensure the delivery of trauma-informed, timely services to youth.

Essential Jobs Functions

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to the youth in the program, at the program and in their family homes.
  • Provide trauma-informed clinical case management to approximately 6 youth by coordinating team meetings, arranging appointments, creating treatment plans, and providing program recommendations on services to best help the youth/family.
  • Completing Comprehensive Clinical Assessments, and CANS, as part of the assessment process
  • Work closely and communicate well with funders/guardians to ensure satisfactory service delivery including meeting attendance and regular communication
  • Provide training to Residential Counselors on clinical issues pertaining to their work with clients
  • Maintain client records and documentation in accordance with licensing and funder requirements.
  • Participate as a member of the team within a clinically oriented trauma-informed treatment milieu
  • Participate in being on-call for after-hours client/program emergencies
  • Take on administrative tasks as delegated by the Program Director and/or Clinical Supervisor
  • Performs Follow Along with Clinical Services, in coordination with staff when applicable to program type.

Staff Development Services

  • Responsible for development and implementation of any needed Residential Counselors clinical training
  • Communication with staff surrounding necessary client information
  • Is a resource and support to Residential Counselors while on-call.
  • Necessary to meet overall agency goals and provide support to management and Residential Counselors.

Professional Growth and Development

  • Necessary to develop to full potential professionally.
  • Seeks and uses management Residential Counselors for training and supervision.
  • Attends Agency and Department required meetings and training.

  • Supervisory and delegation skills are helpful.
  • Ability to structure and organize job responsibilities independently
  • Ability to work with diverse populations at varying levels of management
  • Exceptional demonstrated writing skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn new PC programs as needed

Working Conditions

This position is a 40 hour a week position, five (5), eight (8) hour days. Hours are normally 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. however they require flexibility to meet the needs of clients and the program. The Clinician may share office space with up to two (1) other team members. Working conditions also include travel between program sites, schools, medical offices, to and from scheduled training, etc. This position involves being exposed to at-risk populations. This position is classified as an essential position in the operation of the program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MSW, M.Ed, MS in Counseling, Human Services, or related degree required
  • Independent Clinical License preferred; LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT
  • One year experience in Human Services preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must meet Agency requirements for driving history records
  • Must meet Agency requirements for CORI/SORI background checks
  • Bilingual [English & Spanish], Bicultural, encouraged to apply.
