Position Summary
Gannon University, a Catholic university, seeks a Grounds Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of campus lawns and sidewalks and will assist in the preparation and cleaning associated with university events.
General landscaping, pruning, edging, mulching, and planting skills are preferred.
This position will participate in snow removal from parking lots, sidewalks, and entrances and work hours will change during winter months.
Must be able to work overtime hours and be flexible with work schedule. This position has part-time and full-time vacancies.

Required Qualifications Education : High school diploma / GED.
Experience : One to three years experience.
Licenses and Certifications : Valid driver’s license.
Skills : Must be self-motivated and have good oral, written, and verbal communication skills.
University Mission : Must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission. Preferred Qualifications Must possess or be willing to obtain a Pesticide Applicator’s License at the expense of the University.
Physical Demands Manual and finger dexterity; eye-hand coordination; depth perception; ability to see clearly beyond arms reach and to see small details;
lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; climb 15’ ladders; walk and stand for long periods; work in difficult positions.
