We are actively seeking a Sr. Azure Cosmos Architect/DBA to join our team. Candidate will be responsible to:

• Provide Azure Cosmos thought leadership across the organization
• Ensure understanding of issues and presenting clear rationale. Able to speak to mutual needs and win-win solutions. Use two-way communication to influence outcomes and ongoing results.
• Analyze impact of technology choices and be able to communicate and influence at an enterprise level.
• Persist to completion, especially in the face of overwhelming odds and setbacks. Push self for results; push others for results through team spirit

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Expertise:

• Expert knowledge of Azure Cosmos DB architecture and administration
• Extensive experience designing and optimizing Cosmos DB resource models, containers, databases, and collections
• Extensive experience in sizing Cosmos DB implementations by analyzing data access patterns, data growth expectations, and performance expectations with the objective of maximizing performance and optimizing costs
• Ability to work with development to review and tune queries and updates to ensure optimal performance, defining indexes, profiling performance, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
• Ability to work with Performance Engineers during performance testing to conduct Azure Cosmos tuning, identify bottlenecks, and optimize performance
• Full command of Azure Data Orchestration and Azure Data Factory
• Experience working with Agile teams, applying Agile/Lean principles and a continuous improvement mentality to every aspect of solution development
• Scripting, Java, or C# development knowledge to aid with automation and Proof of Concept initiatives
• Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
• Excellent team building and problem solving skills

Preferred Technical Expertise:

• Enterprise Content Management (ECM) experience with regulated content
• Experience with AI / Machine Learning
