Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Reporting: Exercise direct authority over all service team members and report to both the Service Director and General Manager.
- Goal Setting and Achievement: Forecast and ensure department goals and objectives are met.
- Staffing and Performance Management: Hire, supervise, and monitor the performance of service department personnel.
- Customer Service Excellence: Handle customer complaints tactfully and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Service Level Standards: Develop standards for response times and issue resolution.
- Regulatory Compliance: Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations.
- Equipment and Facility Management: Ensure functionality and cleanliness of all service department equipment and areas.
- Profitability and Pricing: Utilize pricing strategies to generate profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
- Team Development: Create a supportive work environment and hold team members accountable to performance objectives.
- Collaboration and Vision: Collaborate with other dealership managers to work toward overall dealership vision.
- Efficient Operations: Run an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention, and cost controls.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-5 years of Service Management experience in a luxury dealership. High-volume, dealership, Service Director experience preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of success in developing and motivating teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Operational Ability: Ability to operate the department according to dealership guidelines.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Acura/Honda and PBS software a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to solve employee and client issues professionally and ethically.
- Driver's License: Must have a valid in-state driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.
Additional qualifications may include:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekday and weekend overtime.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
