Call Center Representative (for Charities)

Located NE Portland

At Gateway Communications, we use the telephone to personally connect with donors of various charitable organizations across the United States. As a Charitable Fundraising Associate, you will be trained to represent these non-profits and to share an enthusiastic message with their supporters while also raising needed funds.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
  • No ‘Cold Calling'—we only reach out to people who have donated financially prior
  • Pay is per-hour, not performance or commission-based
  • We have a high-level of team spirit and a positive, drama-free workplace
  • We do not work any major holidays
  • Scripting is flexible—we want you to infuse your style and personality into your conversations
  • We have an excellent training program that meets a variety of different learning styles

COMPENSATION: $13 to $16 Hourly

BENEFITS OFFERED: Retirement, Paid-Time Off, Dental, Medical, Vision

SCHEDULING & HOURS:
Full-Time (40hrs) is preferred, although we do offer a Part-Time schedule.

Your choice of Full-Time schedule:
  • Schedule A: Monday - Friday 12PM - 8:30PM
  • Schedule B: Tuesday - Friday 12PM - 8:30PM & Saturday 9AM - 5:30PM

A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION HAS…
  • A positive attitude :D
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer experience
  • Passion for helping those in need
  • Past customer service, sales, or general call center experience (preferred, but not required)
  • A desire for non-seasonal, permanent employment with a growing company
  • The ability to work well with our coaching staff to help you develop in the job
  • The ability to work a consistent schedule and to be a reliable team-member
