Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our team. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations and providing guidance to our team of para professional Therapeutic Mentors and our Certified Peer Support Staff. Your role will involve ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, adherence to HIPAA regulations, and Gateway Mountain Center policies, procedures and standards.
DESCRIPTION/PURPOSE:
Clinical Supervisors (CS) provide oversight and support to our therapeutic mentors who work in the field with our clients. The CS will meet with mentor(s)/peer(s) as assigned, at least two times per month to ensure our mentors are providing trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate and clinically sound interventions to our clients. These meetings can also be provided in a group supervision format once per month for at least 1 hour. Meetings can occur in-person or via video conference.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Using the Gateway methodology of The 4Roots Method, Clinical Supervisors provide supervision to therapeutic mentors and certified peer support staff working with Gateway Mountain Center clients.
- Provide at minimum 2x/month 30 minutes sessions for clinical support to assigned mentors.
- Be available to mentors and peer staff for clinical support as needed.
- Work collaboratively with mentors and peer staff to ensure they are delivering trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate and clinically sound interventions.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members
- Work collaboratively with the WHMB/Wellness leadership team to support mentor and peer staff development through training, program feedback, and program development.
- Know, understand and represent through actions the Gateway vision, culture and therapeutic method.
- Attend monthly Mentor and Peer Team meetings and quarterly Clinical Team meetings
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective coordination of patient care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Stay up-to-date with current clinical research and best practices in the field
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
- Completion of a clinical program with a Masters or Ph.D. degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field of behavioral or medical science from an accredited educational institution.
- Two years post-license experience and/or post masters management experience in a related field.
- Valid license in California as a mental health clinician (LMFT, LCSW, Ph.D.)
- Excellent people skills
- Clear LiveScan
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification
- Access to a computer, internet and a phone.
PREFERRED:
- Outdoor leadership experience
- Experience in wellness and outdoor activities (i.e. yoga, skiing, climbing, meditation, hiking, mountain biking)
- Experience supervising clinicians in the treatment of substance use and abuse
PAY:
- $45-$60 Hourly as an Independent Contractor
- Additional pay available for bilingual candidates
- Additional pay available for candidates specializing in SUD
