Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous machine operation experience is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively communicate information to other employees as needed. Ability to write or transfer simple information to their scrap sheet and/or production labels as required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to use a calculator or paper to add, subtract and multiply whole numbers. Ability to transfer numbers to their scrap sheet and/or production labels as required.

REASONING ABILITY: The Inspector Packer must be able to comprehend and carry out all work instructions. They must be able to use good judgment and handle problems in a professional manner and recommend solutions.

OTHER SKILLS The Inspector Packer needs to be self-motivated and have good organizational and dexterity skills to maintain production and quality requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires regular standing, walking, manipulating hands, wrist and fingers to grasp tools and parts as well as reaching with hands and arms. They are required to carry up to 35 lbs. and lift this weight over shoulder height. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
